This print was the first in a series of communication posters I designed. The objective was to show how communication is the goal in design and if it isn't displayed properly, the viewer will not understand clearly what is being communicated.

This logo was designed for The Nightlife Hub, a New York website that showcases the hottest and best events going on from week to week. The idea behind the design was to create the feeling that you are in the club and the lights are flashing, and the music is blasting. The cocktail really pulled the logo together, because it served as an anchor. The spiral around the cocktail creates movement for the eye and then pushes across the typography.

This ad was designed for ValueOptions, Inc. a behavioral healthcare company in Norfolk. The background photograph was selected to create a mood of a woman on sunny day walking the streets by herself. The idea was to promote decency and friendliness in our daily lives. If you see someone upset, and ask them how they are feeling, bother to care and spend the time talking to the person. You might make all the difference in the world. The simple composition consists of a color overlay technique we use to give it a modern and bold feel. We also wanted to give an explanation of who ValueOptions is, and what we do.

This is one of my favorite posters I've created, and mainly because of it's simplicity. I created this as my first project for Riggs Ward Design while I was an intern there in college. The objective was to show our services, highlight the exhibit and keep it very clean and simple. This award-winning exhibit was featured in Visual Communications Magazine in the spring of 2007 and was a pleasure to be a part of.

This brochure was designed for Councilman Terry McAuliffe's 2009 Gubernatorial campaign. The objective was to highlight his platform on education in Virginia. I gave the brochure a "school house" feel to it by layering the type and images. It also has a chalkboard and typography written out in chalk to make it seem more authentic to the educational experience.

I designed this poster in 2009 when I really noticed the rapid increase of rising tuition prices. I chose to bring more attention to the growing issue of out of control tuition costs. Making it almost impossible for the middle and lower-class population unable to attend college because of the prices. Virginia is a great state to attend University in, and we should take measures to inform the youth and their parents about the alternative choices to getting them in school and paying for it.

This poster was designed for the Richmond Youth Arts Fund. My objective behind the design was to keep it simple and try to use a color palette that represented the location where the festival was. The geometric sans serif typography and simple o-ring forms at the bottom gave it a structured, yet organic feel. I really had a great time creating this poster and I think it shows in the finalized version.

This was designed for the FunkMnkyz, a DC-based funk/hip-hop group. The concept for the artwork was inspired from the album title "Which Way Is Down", and I chose to convey the idea of disorientation and somewhat of an optical illusion. I really enjoy the style of hard line ink drawings that have a playful perspective. I intend on creating a series of illustrations to match this style.

After many attempts to do something off the wall and rough, I came up with this for the RVA Magazine Holiday Issue cover. Working with those guys is a lot of fun because they like their artwork to have a rugged and "Richmond" feel to it. I first came up with something clean and modern and quickly realized that was not what they were looking for. This was a fun illustration and I'm so happy to have said I worked for RVA once upon a time.

I developed this logo for my best friends' bicycle company he created with his brothers. I used a modern and simple style to call out the main elements of the company. Although they ended up choosing the most simple version of the log with just the B3 and the bike intertwined, I was happy with all 5 solutions I came up with.
