Special Forces Trust — cover

// The brief

Special Forces Trust is a fund that supports military spouses and veterans through fundraising and events. I refreshed their logo and branding, rebuilt their website with a better approach, created branded merchandise, and built a better platform for veterans to engage with and get involved in the events they host.

// The challenge

Special Forces Trust supports military spouses and veterans through fundraising and events. They needed a refreshed brand and a better website — and a clearer way for veterans to engage with and get involved in the events the fund hosts.

A mission-driven fund serving the military community, where the work has to feel respectful and credible — and genuinely easy for people to show up for.

// The mandate

Refresh the brand and rebuild the experience: a stronger logo and identity, a better website, branded merchandise, and a platform that makes it easy for veterans and supporters to take part.

// John's role

  • Refreshed the logo and branding
  • Rebuilt the website with a better approach
  • Created branded merchandise
  • Built a better platform for veterans to engage and join the events

The people behind the work

  • Special Forces Trust — client
  • A direct client relationship

// Key decisions

01

Refresh, don't replace

Strengthened the existing identity rather than starting from scratch, keeping continuity with a brand the community already knows and trusts.

02

Make getting involved the easy part

Built the platform around helping veterans engage with and get into the events — because participation is the whole point of the fund.

// The outcome

  • A refreshed brand, a better website, and branded merch
  • A clearer platform for veterans to engage with and join the events

// Reflection

I was proud to work on something that gives back to the military community and their families.
